Indramayu, medianetral.com – Desa Sliyeg di Kecamatan Sliyeg, Kabupaten Indramayu, merupakan salah satu desa bersejarah yang memiliki perjalanan panjang dalam hal kepemimpinan. Didirikan sejak masa perjuangan, desa ini telah dipimpin oleh berbagai tokoh penting yang membentuk karakter dan perkembangan desa hingga saat ini.
Kepemimpinan pertama desa Sliyeg dimulai pada tahun 1850 oleh seorang Kuwu bernama Kesem, yang menjabat selama 23 tahun hingga 1873. Di bawah kepemimpinan Kesem, masyarakat mulai membangun dasar-dasar tata kelola desa kemudian diteruskan oleh Kuwu Sajram (1873-1905) dan Saca Atmaja (1905-1937).
Seiring berjalannya waktu, desa ini dipimpin tokoh-tokoh lainnya yang berkontribusi signifikan dalam mengembangkan Sliyeg, seperti Aqil Mansur (1937-1948) yang memimpin pada masa-masa sulit era kolonial hingga kemerdekaan, dan Tusem (1948-1951), yang turut mendorong pemulihan ekonomi desa.
Pada periode selanjutnya, Desa Sliyeg mengalami kemajuan pesat di bawah kepemimpinan Kuwu Dimyati (1963-1970) yang menerapkan sistem pertanian modern dan Kuwu Alfudin (1970-1977) yang mengawali pembangunan infrastruktur desa. Melanjutkan fondasi tersebut, H. Kurito (1977-1985) dan Muchlas Aladin (1985-1993) terus mengembangkan kesejahteraan masyarakat hingga era 1990-an.
Kepemimpinan Muchlas Aladin yang kembali menjabat pada 2004-2014 meninggalkan kesan yang mendalam. Ia berhasil merangkul masyarakat dan membawa perubahan di berbagai aspek, termasuk pembangunan fasilitas umum dan layanan kesehatan. Kemudian, estafet kepemimpinan dilanjutkan oleh Kuwu Warsito pada 2015 hingga sekarang, yang fokus pada inovasi digitalisasi layanan desa dan penguatan budaya lokal.
